Introducing SYCU

SYCU is a group of volunteers who can’t stand litter! Started by Sarah back in Jan 2020 hosting a small litter pick on her street, this then grew into events all over Sodbury & Yate.

As well as events, members also post photos of their own individual litter picks on the group’s Facebook page, supporting and encouraging one another.

Showing how a small actions make a big difference, bringing the community together, improving mental well being, whilst saving our environment and wildlife.

2025 Update

SYCU is all volunteer run, managed in Sarah’s free time. Due to current work commitments, SYCU is having to wind down this year. BUT FEAR NOT! You can still get your litter pick fix 🙂

Upper Frome Friends are running clean up events in Yate. Plus the Facebook group is always active with members posting there own individual litter picks. So do feel free to join in 🙂
